Closure of the Inquiry

The Chairman of the Inquiry, Sir Martin Moore-Bick, has written to the Prime Minister to notify him that the Inquiry has completed its Terms of Reference. A copy of the letter can be found here.

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry’s final report was published on 4th September 2024. With the necessary administrative arrangements made, the Inquiry is now in a position to close formally. 

Seventh anniversary statement from the Panel

With the anniversary of the fire at Grenfell Tower on 14 June 2017 approaching, the Inquiry Panel has released the following statement:

“On the seventh anniversary of the terrible fire at Grenfell Tower the Panel and the all the members of the Inquiry team offer their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved, survivors and all those whose lives were irrevocably changed by the disaster. We think of the Grenfell Tower community while we continue to work on the Inquiry’s final
report, which will be published on 4th September.”

 

Publication of the Phase 2 Report

The Inquiry has written to core participants to inform them that the Phase 2 report will be published on Wednesday 4 September 2024. Further information about the arrangements for publication will be published in due course.

In accordance with rule 17 of the Inquiry Rules 2006, core participants will be provided with copies of the report on Tuesday 3 September 2024 under embargo.
